From humble beginnings Bedford Reinforced Plastics, Inc. has evolved into one of the industry leaders in the production of
Custom & Standard Pultruded Fiberglass Products. BRP has continuously expanded its capacity over the last 35 years to provide it’s cliental with the service required for the rapidly expanding composite market.
The Stahl family started operations under the Bedford Plastics Company banner in 1974 in a small barn with three pultrusion machines and about a dozen employees, primarily manufacturing products for the agricultural market.
In 1981 the company was incorporated and changed its name to Bedford Reinforced Plastics Inc. and in 1983 moved into a new facility. During the late eighties and into the nineties BRP began to expand its product line to include ladder rails, tool handles, pultruded grating components, water treatment products, and structural shapes and by the turn of the century the company had entered in to the cooling tower, utility pole, and vehicular bridge deck markets.
The continued growth led to multiple expansions of the production facility, the addition of two warehouses, and a state of the art fabrication center. By 2006 BRP was again ready to expand and so moved its outside sales people and engineering staff to a new office complex and then in 2008 purchased a 103,000 square foot on 24 acres in the Bedford Business Park. BRP remains privately owned and operated by the Stahl family. It is financially strong and still focused on customer satisfaction.

BRP was also ranked number 2280 for 2008.
